In 2011, ‘Without Frontiers’ and ‘Ganga & The Shark’ formed the centrepiece feature of the Glasgow Science Festival following smaller presentations across Scotland. Presented at Glasgow University and funded through Heritage Lottery Fund, the exhibition covered the marine environment, land animals and habitats and birds. The exhibition was, as with all Heartstone stories, a ‘meeting point’, in this case bringing people together across cultures and generations to be part of a presentation which combined science, photography, history and the arts. Speakers from the RSPB, St.Andrews University Marine Department, the Forestry Commission, and even firefighters from Glasgow’s Fire Department were all there to ‘bring to life’ the many different photostories. The event included the stage show as in all Heartstone’s exhibition events as the culmination of the 2-day event.
