Chandra’s London at Whitechapel station

The Chandra’s London installation was first exhibited at Whitchapel station in 2007, nine years later it makes its mark on the London underground station a second time delivering a message of unity and equality to hundreds of commuters.

The day started at the Osmani Centre, a youth and community hub for the people of Tower Hamlets. Here attendees including GLA member Florence Eshalomi, Rev Rose Wilkin, Chaplain to the speaker of the House of Commons, Mark Evers from TFL and students from various schools, gathered to discuss the Chandra’s London images and the underlying messages behind the project.

The day was concluded at Whitechapel station with everyone exploring the Chandra’s London installation.
